Elon Musk's company SpaceX successfully launched ISRO's (Indian Space Research Organisation) communication satellite GSAT-N2 on Tuesday from Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The satellite GSAT-N2 was sent into orbit by SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket.
Radhakrishnan Durairaj, Chairman and Managing Director of New Space India Limited (Commercial arm of the ISRO), said that GSAT-N2 has been placed in orbit.
GSAT-N2 is a communication satellite jointly developed by ISRO's Satellite Center and Liquid Propulsion Systems Center. This satellite will enhance broadband services and provide in-flight connectivity across the country. This satellite is expected to remain in operation for 14 years.
