Ayodhya, Grand Deepotsav Celebration - 2024, 2 World Records

First Deepotsav after the construction of Ram Mandir

2 Guinness World Records were made by lighting more than 25 lakh diyas and rotating the collective 'Diya'.

The grand celebration of Deepotsav - 2024 was celebrated with great pomp on the banks of the Saryu River on 30 October. In which thousands of people gathered on the banks of the Saryu River. And everyone enjoyed this Deepotsav. During this, 2 Guinness World Records were also made, in which the first prize was given for the "Diya" feat by all the people together. The second prize was given for the display of 25,12,585 diyas. This achievement was achieved with the cooperation of the Ayodhya District Administration and the Tourism Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Both these awards were received by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath. During this, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak were also present along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Ramlila was narrated through a sound and light show on the banks of Saryu Ghat. Laser and light shows were also included in this festival, which also included a drone show and firecrackers.

This is the first Deepotsav celebration after the construction of Ram temple. In which some tableaux made by the Information and Tourism departments were also presented, which depict important moments of Lord Rama's life.

On this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the ceremony by pulling the chariot of Ram, Sita, and Lakshman as the return of the Lord.
